LafargeHolcim publishes first Sustainability Report for merged Group

Today we are releasing our Sustainability Report 2015 that outlines the Group’s economic, environmental and social performance and presents LafargeHolcim’s ambitious objectives as part of its new sustainability strategy, The 2030 Plan.

The report confirms that LafargeHolcim is leading the cement industry on a number of sustainability issues. We have the lowest CO2 emissions per tonne of cement amongst international cement groups and have made further progress in reducing atmospheric emissions such as dust or NOX, increasing the use of alternative fuels in its cement kilns and rehabilitating more quarries.

Eric Olsen, CEO of LafargeHolcim, said: "Sustainability is one of the key pillars of our corporate strategy. It determines the way we operate and defines the solutions that we offer our customers. It also encapsulates our determination to provide leadership within the construction sector and drive transformation. We will do this through the LafargeHolcim 2030 Plan. The overarching ambition of the plan is to transform our business and ensure that by 2030, one third of our revenue comes from products, services, and solutions offering enhanced sustainability performance."
