Isidoro Miranda is appointed Executive Vice President, Gypsum Division. In this position he succeeds Bruno Lafont who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Isidoro Miranda was previously Executive Vice President, Cement Division.
Isidoro Miranda, 44 year old, originates from Spain. He graduated as an engineer and has a PhD from Navarre University, Spain. He also is a “senior scholar” from Standford University (1986) and holds an MBA from Insead (1989). After four years in the consulting business, he joined Lafarge in 1995 in the capacity of Vice President, Group Strategic Studies. In 1998, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Asland, a subsidiary based in Spain. In 2001, he was appointed Executive Vice President, Cement Division.
