For those of you traveling this weekend, here's 3 of our infrastructure projects getting you from A to B. The Algiers metro is vital in an expanding city where road travel can be complicated. The project was launched in 1981, and in 2011 the Algerian capital became the first city in the Maghreb with a metro. Our teams provided various high-quality concretes for the project including shotcrete, wallfill concrete, and our fluid and fast-setting concrete Chronolia®. 🚉 Find out more about our solutions for infrastructure projects: https://www.lafargeholcim.com/infrastructure #travel #journey #trip #ontheroad #allaboard #traffic #infrastructure #metro #rail #urbantransport #Algiers #LafargeHolcim #cement #concrete

For those of you traveling this weekend, here's 3 of our infrastructure projects getting you from A to B. The Millau Viaduct is part of the A75-A71 motorway running from Paris to Béziers and Montpellier. Built to handle high levels of road traffic, it required more than 85,000m3 of concrete, twice the average amount needed for a big office building! Fun fact: the P2 pier is the highest structure in France, beating even the Eiffel Tower by 23 meters. 🗼 Find out more about our solutions for infrastructure projects: https://www.lafargeholcim.com/infrastructure #travel #journey #trip #ontheroad #allaboard #traffic #infrastructure #bridge #viaduct #road #highway #urbantransport #Millau #France #LafargeHolcim #cement #concrete
