SUSTAINABLE BUILDING IN ACTION

Boston, U.S.: Winthrop Center

In 2023, our Elevate roofing and insulation systems were used in the construction of the world’s largest Passive House-certified office building: the Winthrop Center in Boston, U.S.

Vienna, Austria: Campus Aspern Seestadt

The Campus Aspern Seestadt school in Vienna serves as a showcase for how smart design and Holcim’s low-carbon solutions can play a major role in decarbonizing cities around the world.

Milan, Italy: Milan metro

Authorities in Milan chose our low-carbon, circular solutions to expand the city's metro. In July 2023, Milan opened San Babila, the latest station on the new M4 line, connecting the east and west of the city in under 30 minutes.

Paris, France: Recygénie

Holcim’s ECOCycle® technology is enabling the construction of the world’s first fully recycled concrete building. Recygénie, a social housing complex being built near Paris will make sustainable housing accessible to all.

Monterrey, Mexico: Moranta Tower

In 2023, Moranta Tower in Monterrey became Mexico’s first fully ECOPact project, lowering CO2 emissions by 30 percent. Holcim's SMARTCast digital technology accelerated the construction process.

Lägerdorf, Germany: Carbon2Business project

The Carbon2Business project in Lägerdorf, Germany, aims to capture 1.2 million tons of CO2 emissions annually. The captured CO2 will be repurposed as an industrial raw material.
